With the Election for the 42nd State Senate District Seat Just Three Months Away State Senate Candidate Mike Martucci Releases Video Calling on His Opponent to Debate
(Goshen, NY – August 13, 2020) – Mike Martucci, candidate for the 42nd State Senate District seat, released a social media video earlier today calling on Senator Metzger to agree to a series of three moderated debates to give the voters of the 42nd State Senate District the opportunity to hear contrasting visions for the future of the Empire State and have the candidates answer questions on how best to address the multitude of challenges New York state faces.
“Since early Spring, COVID-19 has rightly been the focus of people around the world, and certainly right here in New York state which in many ways was the epicenter of the virus in this nation,” said Martucci. “Now that things have stabilized and we work toward a new normal, we must focus on a critical decision that voters will face at the polls come November. The residents of the 42nd senate district will have a choice between two very different ideologies; my platform of putting families first versus my opponent’s record of ‘business as usual’ in the Capitol.”
The Martucci campaign invites the Metzger campaign to immediately enter discussions on format and scheduling for three debates to be conducted over the next three months.
Martucci added, “My opponent is known as a good campaigner who isn’t afraid of taking a controversial position. I look forward to a series of cordial but frank and spirited debates where we can clearly contrast our philosophies on the role of government and explain to the voters why each of us feels we are the best choice to represent the interests of the 42nd senate district. The voters of the district deserve no less.”
