Mike Martucci Receives Endorsement From Coalition of Police Unions Located Across the State

More Than Twenty Law Enforcement Associations Representing 200,000 Officers Unite Against Senate Democrats Whose Actions in Albany Are Causing Violence and Lawlessness at Home in Their Districts

Goshen, NY (September 21, 2020) – New York State Senate candidate for the 42nd District Mike Martucci today announced that an unprecedented coalition of 23 police unions from across the state, representing more than 200,000 law enforcement officers, has endorsed his candidacy to unseat Senator Metzger on November 3rd citing Metzger’s vote to release violent criminals without bail, placing victims and witnesses in jeopardy by providing their personal information to criminals and their attorneys, and granting voting rights to paroled felons.

“I am honored and humbled to receive such overwhelming support from law enforcement associations across the state,” Martucci said. “Violence is tearing our communities apart from Buffalo to the five boroughs, including right here in the Hudson Valley. Senator Metzger and her radical leftist colleagues in the state legislature are responsible for the lawlessness that is translating into record assaults, shootings and homicides. You cannot empower and embolden criminals by providing them with more rights than their victims and expect communities to remain safe. You cannot handcuff and defund the police and expect there to be law and order.”

Martucci concluded by saying, “This election cycle there will be a different kind of ‘blue wave’ as the women and men of law enforcement, their family and friends, and law enforcement supporting citizens make their voices heard and say, ‘enough!’”

The law enforcement coalition endorsement joins a growing chorus of support for the Martucci candidacy. The campaign has picked up endorsements from public officials, unions, law enforcement and business organizations. All endorsements can be found at Martucci4Senate.com.
