As New York City Burns from Senator Metzger’s Dangerous Bail Elimination Law, New York’s Finest Recognize Martucci for His Support of Law Enforcement and Public Safety
Goshen, NY (September 16, 2020) – New York State Senate candidate for the 42nd District Mike Martucci today announced that the Police Benevolent Association of the City of New York has endorsed his candidacy to unseat Senator Metzger whose dangerous and failed bail elimination law has resulted in a drastic surge in violent crime and chaos across the state – especially in New York City.
The Police Benevolent Association of the City of New York’s endorsement letter, signed by PBA president Patrick Lynch stated, “Your commitment to addressing the issues affecting New York City police officers is well recognized, and it will be an honor to have you representing our members in the Senate. We look forward to working with you towards our shared goal of a stronger, safer New York.”
Martucci remarked, “New York City’s streets have become a warzone due to the failed leadership of Senator Metzger and Mayor de Blasio. Rioters and looters are being arrested in the early morning hours only to be back on the streets later that evening. The brave men and women of the NYPD that protect law-abiding citizens from dangerous criminals know that Senator Metzger does not have their backs. I’m honored to receive the endorsement of the Police Benevolent Association of the City of New York.”
The Police Benevolent Association of the City of New York joins the New York State Fraternal Order of Police, the New York State Troopers Benevolent Association, the Orange County District Attorney’s Investigators Association, and the Orange County Deputy Sheriff’s Police Benevolent Association in endorsing Martucci’s candidacy.
The Martucci campaign anticipates additional endorsements given his reputation of being a principled businessman who has worked to advocate for the rights of hardworking women and men across the state.
