Troopers Union Joins Growing List of Law Enforcement Endorsements Recognizing Mike Martucci’s Commitment to Protect Those Who Protect Us and Who Have Been Abandoned By Senator Metzger
(Goshen, NY – August 3, 2020) – Mike Martucci, candidate for the 42nd State Senate District seat, today announced that he has received the endorsement of the New York State Troopers Police Benevolent Association in his effort to unseat incumbent state senator Metzger. The Troopers join the Orange County District Attorney’s Investigators Association and the Orange County Deputy Sheriff’s Police Benevolent Association who previously endorsed Martucci.
“The Troopers PBA is proud to support Mike Martucci for the 42nd district of the New York State Senate. Our Troopers expect him to be a strong supporter for law enforcement and continue to protect all law enforcement members against the anti-police movement in Albany,” said Thomas Mungeer, President, New York State Troopers Police Benevolent Association.
“At a time when we are seeing out of control violence in cities across the nation, including New York City, we need our brave men and women of law enforcement more than ever. The New York State Troopers have stood as exemplars of public service, bravery and integrity since their founding, and their commitment to justice and the safety of all those within the Empire State’s borders should serve as a source of pride for all New Yorkers,” said Mike Martucci. “I am honored that the Troopers’ PBA has placed their trust in me as we do in them, and I promise to always support those men and women who wear a badge and honorably and faithfully uphold their oaths. I will not turn my back on them for political expediency like Senator Metzger and her radical anti-law and order colleagues have.”
The Martucci campaign anticipates additional union endorsements given his reputation of being a principled businessman who has worked closely with unions to advocate for the rights of hardworking women and men across the state.
