The Senator Cites Trust, Accomplishments and Martucci’s “Families First” Agenda as Key Reasons Why Families Should Support Martucci for the 42nd Senate District Seat
(Goshen, NY, September 17, 2020) – Mike Martucci, candidate for the 42nd State Senate District seat, today announced that State Senator John Bonacic has endorsed his candidacy for the State Senate. Senator Bonacic, who represented the region for nearly 30 years, first in the Assembly and then the Senate, cited Martucci’s track record of keeping children safe, creating jobs and fighting for families as the main reasons why 42nd District voters can trust Mike to continue his legacy.
“I trust Mike Martucci to be our next state senator because when Mike says he’s going to do something, he does it,” Senator Bonacic said. “As the owner of a school bus company, he created more than 550 local jobs while safely delivering thousands of kids to school every day. As someone who loves and cares about his community, Mike and his wife Erin created a charity to help local families. I’m confident Mike will be a great state senator, because in a lot of ways, he’s already doing it.”
Senator Bonacic is a widely respected public servant with decades of success. He represented the region in the State Senate from 1998 to 2018 and served in the Assembly for eight years prior to that. He’s championed causes relating to job creation, healthcare, property tax relief, housing and public safety.
“During his entire career, Senator John Bonacic fought for families,” Martucci said. “He’s fought to create jobs and he fought for the interests of the people in Sullivan, Orange, Delaware and Ulster counties. I am honored to have the trust and support of someone who has delivered for so long for all of us. Once elected, I look forward to continuing the work he was doing on our behalf.” The Bonacic endorsement joins a growing chorus of support for the Martucci candidacy. The campaign has picked up endorsements from unions, law enforcement and business organizations. All endorsements can be found at Martucci4Senate.com.
